Take part in the annual National Association of State Park Foundations annual conference and meeting! Join your colleagues in Richmond, VA and at Pocahontas State Park September 8th to 11th. Just 20 miles from Richmond, Pocahontas offers boating, picnicking, camping, camping cabins, 90-plus miles of trails, and nature and history programs.
A few highlights from the conference agenda include an exploration of the work being completed in VA state parks, such as the restoration of historic Civilian Conservation Corps structures, exploration of their volunteer program, and unique partnerships. Join master fundraising trainer Chad Barger of Productive Fundraising to learn how to engage your board to fundraise and how to cut through the noise to engage your donors. Chad will also be offering complimentary 20-minute speed coaching sessions to the first ten participants to register for the conference. Dr. Silas Chamberlin, Chief Strategy Officer with York County Economic Alliance, will introduce participants to Placer.ai, a leading visitor analytics tool, and the types of visitor data and economic insights land managers can extract from its use, including total visitation trends; average duration of visit; home zip code of visitors; visitor socio-demographics and much more.
Monica Gould, President of Strategic Consulting Partners, will facilitate a conversation about inclusion work in today’s climate along with a presentation on attracting and working with Gen Z. Additional workshops include exploring podcasting, marketing, technology, Nature RX, operating a microgrant program as well as roundtable discussions on topics important to you, the attendees.
